Marie Curie: evidence made useful
Transcript
The scientist Marie Skłodowska Curie began with a stubborn question: why was pitchblende more active than uranium alone could explain? In a rough Paris laboratory, patient measurements guided Marie and Pierre Curie toward two elements, polonium and radium. The work earned a share of the nineteen-oh-three Nobel Prize in Physics; her later chemistry work brought another Nobel Prize in nineteen eleven. Her record is not magic. Her method was attention, repetition, and evidence put to use. During the First World War, she organized mobile X-ray teams. Kairos Council treats her card the same way: Transit Power is a checkable game value built from today's sky and a documented birth record, not a promise. Open the receipt. Compare the evidence. When the board rewards precision under pressure, decide whether Curie's patient courage belongs in your council.
