Safety & Community Guidelines
Last updated: July 11, 2026
Capricast is a place to watch, chat, and build a following around the things you love. These guidelines describe what is and isn’t allowed, how to report content or people who break the rules, and how to reach our Trust & Safety team. They apply everywhere on the Service — videos, comments, posts, profiles, Spaces, and direct messages.
Who can use Capricast
You must be at least 13 years old to use Capricast. Some features and content are further restricted by age — where local law requires it, we gate specific experiences to 16 or 18 and older. We ask for your age in a neutral way and do not target advertising or profiling at people we know to be minors. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we remove it.
What’s not allowed
To keep the community safe, the following are prohibited anywhere on Capricast:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualized content involving minors. We report this to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law.
- Harassment, bullying, or threats — including targeted abuse, stalking, or encouraging others to harass someone.
- Hate speech that attacks or dehumanizes people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or serious disease.
- Sexual content involving non-consent, and non-consensual intimate imagery of any kind.
- Violence, threats, or incitement, and content that promotes or glorifies terrorism or organized violence.
- Self-harm or suicide content that promotes or provides instructions for self-injury.
- Other illegal activity, including the sale of regulated goods and fraud or scams.
- Spam, deceptive engagement, and impersonation.
Violations can lead to content removal, loss of features, or account termination, depending on severity and history.
Reporting and blocking
Every post, comment, message, and profile has a Report control. Reporting sends the item to our review team with the reason you choose; we record every report so nothing gets lost, even while review is in progress. If something is an emergency or involves someone in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
You can also block any account. Blocking someone stops them from following you, seeing your posts, or messaging you, and removes any follows between you. You can unblock later at any time.
Reports that involve child sexual abuse material are routed into a dedicated, preserved evidence path and reported to NCMEC.
How we enforce these rules
We combine automated screening with human review. Content that clearly violates these guidelines may be removed automatically; anything less clear is reviewed by a person. On live surfaces, a human moderator is in the loop. We aim to be consistent and proportionate, and to explain our decisions where we can.
