This Privacy Policy explains what information Capricast collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to your use of the Service.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email, password (stored hashed), and profile details you provide.
- Content — videos, comments, chat messages, and other content you upload or send.
- Usage and device data — pages viewed, interactions, approximate location derived from IP, and basic device/browser information, collected to operate and secure the Service.
- Payment data — handled by our processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we retain records of transactions and payout status.
How we use your information
To provide and maintain the Service, process payments and payouts, personalize your experience, communicate with you, prevent abuse and fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing
We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf (for example, Cloudflare for hosting and video delivery, Neon for database storage, Stripe for payments, and analytics/monitoring providers). We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can:
- update your profile in Settings;
- request a copy of your data or its deletion from your account settings;
- contact us at privacy@capricast.com to exercise any right.

Data retention and security
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We use industry-standard safeguards, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
