Watch the room when you walk in. Something in it exhales. You notice who has not eaten. Who is sitting too quiet at the end of the table. You reach over before you decide to. That is not a mood. That is Gate 27, the Nurturer, moving through your hands before your mind catches up. Here is the part people miss watching you do this. Some will lean in and feed you back. Others will just keep opening their mouths. Depletion is you caring for a room that never turns to ask if you are still standing.
